Two patents at the origin of the creation of Coldep

Coldep was founded in 2011 by Julien Jacquety. It is based on research carried out by Bertrand Barrut, who joined the company at the beginning.

Two international patents (No. 07/02308 and No. 09/57898) have been filed in close connection with IFREMER and to INSA Lyon which supported and supported Coldep's R&D work at the beginning.

In 2024, these patents were purchased (Coldep had previously held their exclusive license).

Coldep, a fast-growing start-up

The company deploys its process primarily in aquaculture by providing the central device of any farm (RAS for Recirculating Aquaculture System) to treat water (saline or fresh) in a circular manner and at a very high flow rate.

In 2020, Coldep designed a modified version of the VAL to be adapted to the treatment of industrial effluents in the agri-food, chemical and stationery sectors.

In 2023, a €2 million raise and a strengthening of the team

Coldep has raised two successive €1 million funds from the R&P fund and its managers.

In parallel, Coldep sees its management team strengthened with the arrival of Sébastien Latz and Brice Plossard, respectively CEO and Development Director.
